I Came, I Saw, I Laughed

Project Overview

We invite you all to join us for a night filled with laughter, entertainment, and the rich spirit of Italian culture. Come support the arts and celebrate a fellow Italian-American in a special evening that promises to leave you with unforgettable memories. The event will feature a stage performance of hilarious Italian-themed vignettes and one-act plays, along with a special short poetry reading by a popular American-Italian actor. It’s also a fantastic networking opportunity, where you can connect with members of various Italian organizations, immerse yourself in the culture, and enjoy great drinks and even better company!

As Shakespeare once said, “All the world’s a stage, and we each must play our parts.” Sinatra also told us, “I’ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn, and a king.” (And yes, I’ll save the “doo-be-doo-be-doo” for another night!) The point is, much like Shakespeare and Sinatra, we all have been the young lovers, fate’s fool, kings, queens, and even the court jester at some point in our lives. My hope for this production is that you’ll see a bit of yourself in the performances and leave the night remembering it as a reflection of our own journeys: We came, we saw, and we laughed.

Our Mission

Italian culture, rich in history, art, and passion, is beautifully reflected in its theater and comedy. Far from the negative stereotypes sometimes portrayed in the media, Italy’s comedic tradition is a vibrant celebration of wit, charm, and cleverness, showcasing the warmth and resilience of its people. Italian theater, from the ancient Commedia dell'arte to contemporary works, highlights the joy of life, often blending humor with deep social commentary. It inspires creativity, promotes positivity, and reminds us of the importance of laughter in uniting cultures, encouraging us to look beyond stereotypes and embrace the depth and beauty of Italian heritage.
